Dr. Dwayne Olatonade
Dr. Olatonade graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Sciences in 2005 and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2007. He is proud to have provided dental care to the Edmonton community for over ten years. Dr. O has also previously practised in rural Alberta, Calgary, and the Greater Toronto Area.
Dr. Olatonade is passionate about volunteering dental services to those without means, both here in Canada and abroad!
When he’s not at the clinic, you can find Dwayne attending live music events around the city, travelling to places all over the globe, or participating in water sports such as surfing and scuba-diving!
Dr. Aqib Shirazi
Dr. Shirazi graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor in Science (Psychology) in 2014 and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2018. He was born and raised in Edmonton, and liked it here so much that he never left.
Dr. Shirazi takes pride in his patient-centered approach. He will always take the time to address any questions or concerns that you might have. In his time away from work, you might find him attending local festivals, taking pictures, or trying to replicate recipes from the Food Network.
As a Dental Hygienist at Oliver Park Dental, Daniel is proud to work in an office that values environmentally sustainable dental practices. Daniel believes that oral health is inexorably connected to whole body health and that dental hygiene is a core foundation of healthy living.
In 2017, Daniel received his Diploma in Dental Hygiene from the University of Alberta and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene.
When he’s not educating you about proper home-care oral hygiene techniques, Daniel can be found watching an obscene amount of Netflix, biking, or tackling a new home renovation.
Since she was young, Chantel has always had an interest in dentistry. As she grew older and began to learn more about the profession, her interest in pursuing a career in Dental Hygiene emerged. As a Dental Hygienist at Oliver Park Dental, Chantel aims to educate each of her clients about the connection between their overall health and proper oral hygiene.
Chantel graduated from the Diploma in Dental Hygiene program at the University of Alberta in 2018 and has plans to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree specialising in Dental Hygiene within the next year.
When she’s not cleaning your teeth, Chantel can be found visiting the dog park with her Shih Tzu Bambam, camping with friends and family, or travelling to the mountains snowboard-in-hand.
As a Registered Dental Assistant at Oliver Park Dental, Ashley believes patient education is key to providing the best dental care. She enjoys being a part of a team that strives to create an overall relaxing experience at the dental office.
In 2017, Ashley graduated from the Dental Assisting program at NAIT and has been at OPD ever since.
When she’s not at the clinic, Ashley is eith er doing yoga, travelling the globe, or taking a nap.
Dr. Rattai was born and raised in Calgary, where he graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences in 2016. He then moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta. He completed his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2020 and now calls Edmonton home.
By recognizing the importance of clear, open communication, Dr. Rattai strives to build strong relationships with his patients. He is a published researcher in Dental Trauma, and looks forward to life-long learning in his career.
When he is away from the clinic, Dr. Rattai can often be found engaging in sports-related activities, developing his skills as an amateur photographer, or out exploring Alberta.
Christine is the Accounts Manager at Oliver Park Dental. She enjoys coming to work every day to work with the GREAT Team at Oliver Park Dental. Christine is new to the dental field so everyday is an exciting learning experience. Outside of work, she enjoys golfing, fishing and camping.
